Tirumala Temple March 2026 – Ugadi & Rama Navami Asthanams

 

In Tirumala, three important Asthanams (Temple Courts) are scheduled this March, aligned with major festivals including Telugu Ugadi and Sri Rama Navami. Traditionally, Asthanam is observed at the Garudalwar Sannidhi, where Vedic scholars present sacred texts before the deities.

Ugadi Asthanam – March 19

  • Occasion: Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsara Ugadi.
  • Time: 7 am – 9 am.
  • Highlights:
    • New clothes draped on both main and processional deities.
    • Vedic scholars present the Panchangam (almanac) for the year.
    • Asthanam performed with traditional rituals.

Sri Rama Navami Asthanam – March 27

  • Time: 9 pm – 10 pm at Garudalwar Sannidhi.
  • Highlights:
    • Hanumanta Vahana Seva earlier in the evening (6:30 pm – 8 pm).
    • Vedic pundits recite the Sri Rama Jananam (Birth of Rama) chapter from Srimad Ramayana.
    • Asthanam observed with devotion and grandeur.

Pattabhisheka Asthanam – March 28

  • Time: 8 pm – 9 pm.
  • Highlights:
    • Vedic scholars present the Coronation Ceremony episode of Sri Ramachandra Murty from Srimad Ramayana.
    • Rituals mark the divine coronation of Lord Rama.
