observing the fast, Ram and his army successfully crossed the ocean and
defeated Ravana.
- Hence,
the day symbolizes victory over evil through devotion and discipline.

- 24-hour
fast, avoiding rice, grains, pulses, and honey.

foods: fruits, milk, nuts, dried fruits, and vegetables.
