Rituals and Traditions
Snana Purnima &

his first public appearance, celebrated as Netrotsava.
- This marks the beginning of the Rath
Yatra.
Journey to Gundicha
Temple
- Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and
Subhadra travel in massive chariots to the Gundicha Temple,
regarded as the home of Jagannath’s aunt.
- The temple is located about 3–4 km
from the main shrine.

deities on the Simhasana at Gundicha Temple grants liberation (Vaikuntha).
