Introduction
The Pahari Mandir,
located on the hilltop of Richi Buru in Ranchi, Jharkhand, is one of the
most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva (Shankara). Built in the 15th
century, the temple stands at 2140 feet above sea level and 350
feet above ground level, offering breathtaking views of Ranchi city,
spectacular sunrises, and sunsets.
This temple is unique as
it is the first temple in India where the national tricolour is hoisted
on Independence Day and Republic Day.
