Hanuman Jayanti, the
sacred occasion celebrating the birth of Lord Hanuman, will be observed on May
12, 2026 in Tirumala with devotion and grandeur. As part of its annual
tradition, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will present silk
vastrams (pattu vastrams) to Sri Japali Hanuman, honoring the deity
with reverence.
Traditional Offering
Every year, TTD offers
silk vastrams to Japali Hanuman on Hanuman Jayanti, symbolizing devotion and
continuity of age-old practices. This ritual holds immense spiritual
significance for devotees visiting Tirumala during the festival.
Special Pujas
In addition to the
offerings at Japali Hanuman Temple, special pujas will also be performed for:
- Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy
near the temple precincts
- Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy at 7th Mile
on the Down Ghat road
These rituals highlight
the deep-rooted devotion to Lord Hanuman across Tirumala and its surrounding
shrines.
Devotee-Friendly
Arrangements
To facilitate
participation, TTD has arranged free bus services between Tirumala and
the 7th Mile location. This thoughtful initiative ensures that devotees and
locals can easily attend the pujas and return without transportation concerns.
Significance
Hanuman Jayanti is not
only a celebration of Lord Hanuman’s birth but also a reminder of his
unwavering devotion, strength, and service to Lord Rama. The offerings and
pujas organized by TTD reflect the collective spirit of devotion and the
temple’s commitment to preserving traditions.
