The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Mangalagiri, located in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.   • By Road:
    Mangalagiri is well connected by road. It lies on the Vijayawada–Guntur highway (NH16). Regular APSRTC buses and private transport options are available from Vijayawada (12 km) and Guntur (25 km).

    The nearest railway station is Mangalagiri Railway Station, which is a small stop. Major rail connectivity is through Vijayawada Junction (12 km) and Guntur Junction (25 km), both of which are major hubs with trains from across India.
  • By Air:
    The nearest airport is Vijayawada International Airport (Gannavaram), about 35 km away. From the airport, taxis and buses are available to reach Mangalagiri.

  • Temple Timings:
    • Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (on the hill): Morning 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Panakam offering), closed in the evening.
    • Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (at the foot of the hill): Morning 5:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Evening 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
  • Best Time to Visit:
    During Brahmotsavams (Feb–Mar), the temple is crowded but spiritually vibrant. If you prefer a quieter darshan, plan a visit before or after the festival days.
  • Offerings:
    The unique tradition here is offering Panakam (jaggery water) to Lord Narasimha, symbolizing devotion and humility.
  • Footwear & Dress Code:
    Footwear must be left outside. Devotees are encouraged to wear traditional attire (men: dhoti, women: saree/salwar).
