The Sivalokanathar
Temple in Tirupunkur, Tamil Nadu, is a revered Shiva temple with
deep historical and spiritual significance. It is closely associated with the legend
of Nandanar, one of the 63 Nayanmars, who was granted divine darshan when Lord
Shiva commanded Nandi to move aside.

- The temple’s name, Tirupunkur,

Virutcham (sacred tree).
