Historical Significance
- Estimated to be 250 years old,
     this temple served as a spiritual refuge for devotees unable to reach Tirumala
     in earlier times.
- Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan Swamy,
     a devout Sri Vaishnava saint, established an Ashram beside the
     temple and offered daily kainkaryams for nearly 50 years.
- His disciple, Sri Koliyalam Swamy,
     continued the tradition for over 70 years.
- In 2008, the temple was
     officially taken over and renovated by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams
     (TTD).
Presiding Deity
- Lord Srinivasa,
     a form of Vishnu, is worshipped here with deep reverence, especially by
     those following the Sri Vaishnava tradition.
