Shenbakkam Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt – Dhakshina Navabrindavana
Located on the banks of
the Palar River in Shenbakkam Village, Vellore district, Tamil Nadu,
this ancient mutt is a sacred site for Madhwa devotees. It is revered as a Dhakshina
Navabrindavana, established in the early 1990s with the installation of Sri
Raghavendra Swamy’s mrithika brindavana.

Brindavana Layout
At
the entrance, you’ll find the brindavanas of Sri Sripathi Theertha and Sri
Kambaal Ramachandra Theertha of Vyasaraja Matha.
On
the first floor, side by side, are the brindavanas of Sri Vidyapathi
Theertha and Sri Sathyathiraja Theertha of Uttaradi Mutt.
Below
these, in a slightly underground chamber, are the smaller brindavanas of Sri
Kesava Udayaru, Sri Govinda Madhava Udayaru, Sri Bhoovaraaga
Udayaru, and Sri Raghunatha Udayaru—saints about whom little is
known, yet their presence adds depth to the sanctity of the site.
