Shani Trayodashi is
a sacred day dedicated to Lord Shani, observed when Trayodashi
Tithi falls on a Saturday. This alignment is considered
highly auspicious for performing rituals to seek Shani
Bhagavan’s blessings and reduce the adverse effects of Saturn in one’s
horoscope.
Why is Shani Trayodashi
Important?
Lord Shani is one of
the Navagrahas, governing karma, discipline, and justice.
People experiencing difficulties due to planetary positions, such as Elenati
Shani (Sade-Sati), Ardhastama Shani, Ashtama Shani,
or Shani Antar Dasa, are advised to observe remedial
rituals on this day.

Tailabhishekam &
Offerings
- Perform Tailabhishekam (oil
abhishekam) at Shani temples.
- Donate a black cloth containing:
- Black grams
- 100 grams of ginger oil
- 1 kg of coal
- A small black ribbon
- Eight iron nails
- Navadanyams (nine
sacred grains)
- Offer the bundle to a temple
priest or drop it in flowing water.
Food Offerings &

- Feed a crow, considered
Lord Shani’s vehicle.
- Serve rice with salt meals to
needy individuals.
- Donate black clothes to
the poor.
