The Nitya Annaprasadam
programme by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is one of the largest
daily free‑meal services in the world. Often hailed as the modern‑day Akshaya
Patra, it combines traditional values of Annadanam (food donation)
with modern kitchen technology to serve millions of devotees every year. Every
visitor to Tirumala receives a nutritious, satisfying meal—free of cost—making
Annaprasadam a global model of humanitarian and spiritual service.
Origin & Growth
- Launched:
April 6, 1985, with just 2,000 servings.
- Today:
Nearly 3,00,000 devotees daily on weekends and peak days, and 1.8–1.9
lakh devotees on regular days.

About 9,600 litres consumed daily in beverages.
