Presiding Deity

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mahankali, revered as the divine mother who blesses devotees with strength, prosperity, and fulfillment of wishes in both personal and professional life.

Temple Significance

History & Legends

The temple’s origins date back to the 17th century, during the reign of King Tana Shah of Golconda. Two brothers, Akkanna and Madanna, served as the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief in the royal court. Devoted disciples of Goddess Mahankali, they performed daily puja at this temple before attending court duties.

Tragically, after their assassination, the temple was closed and fell into obscurity. Since then, the temple has regained prominence as a center of devotion and community worship.
