Tirumala Time‑Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) – Complete Guide for Free Darshan

What is Time‑Slotted Sarva Darshan?

  • Sarva Darshan is the free darshan available to all pilgrims.
  • To reduce overcrowding and long waiting hours, TTD introduced SSD tokens (Time‑Slotted Sarva Darshan).
  • These tokens assign pilgrims a specific time slot to enter the Vaikuntham Queue Complex (VQC), ensuring smoother darshan.

Where to Get SSD Tokens

  • Tokens are issued only in Tirupati, not in Tirumala.
  • Counters are located at:
    • Bhudevi Complex, Alipiri
    • Govindaraja Swamy Choultries
    • Srinivasam Complex
    • Vishnu Nivasam Complex
    • Other designated centers in Tirupati

How It Works

1.     Pilgrim Registration: Provide Aadhaar or valid ID proof at the counter.

2.     Token Issuance: Receive a token with date and time slot printed.

3.     Travel to Tirumala: Pilgrims proceed to Tirumala before their slot.

4.   Entry: At the assigned time, pilgrims enter through Vaikuntham Queue Complex (VQC 2).

5.     Darshan: Darshan usually takes 2–4 hours depending on crowd levels.

Benefits

  • Reduced Waiting: Pilgrims avoid waiting 10–18 hours in long queues.
  • Organized Flow: Crowd management is smoother, especially during weekends and festivals.
  • Free Service: No cost for SSD tokens.
  • Transparency: Each token is linked to Aadhaar, preventing misuse or duplication.

Important Notes

  • Limited Tokens: Issued daily; once exhausted, pilgrims must wait for the next day.
  • One Token per Person: Aadhaar mandatory for each pilgrim.
  • No Online Booking: SSD tokens are offline only in Tirupati.
  • Validity: Tokens are valid only for the assigned slot; late arrivals are not permitted.
