Jatara, also known as Brahmotsavams, is the most celebrated
annual event at the Sri Kurumurthy Swamy Temple in Ammapur, Telangana. Held for
19 days, this grand festival begins around Deepavali and features
a series of divine processions, vahana sevas, and sacred rituals that attract
thousands of devotees from across the region.

Festival Highlights
- Kalyanotsavam:
A ceremonial wedding of Sri Kurumurthy Swamy with His consort, symbolizing
divine union and prosperity.
- Vahana Sevas:
Each evening, the deity is taken in procession on a different vahana
(divine vehicle), including Mayura (peacock), Hamsa (swan), Sesha
(serpent), Gaja (elephant), Aswa (horse), Hanuman, and Garuda.
- Alankarna Utsavam:
A special day of elaborate decoration and adornment of the deity.
- Uddala Utsavam:
A unique ritual involving local guardian deities and folk traditions.
- Garuda Vahana Seva:
