Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple – September 2025 Festive Calendar
September brings a divine
array of rituals and celebrations at the sacred abode of Sri Sita, Rama, and
Lakshmana in Tirupati. Devotees can immerse themselves in spiritual bliss
through the following events:
Saturdays – September 6,
13, 20 & 27
Begin each weekend with the Abhishekam to Sri Sita, Rama, and Lakshmana
at 6:00 AM. This early morning ritual invokes purity and devotion, drawing
devotees into a serene spiritual experience.
September 7 – Pournami
(Full Moon Day)
At 9:30 AM, the temple will host the Ashtottara Shata Kalasa Abhishekam,
a powerful ritual involving 108 sacred kalasas used to bathe the deities,
symbolizing abundance and divine grace.
September 7 – Lunar
Eclipse
Due to the eclipse, the temple will remain closed from 3:00 PM onwards, in
accordance with traditional observances.
September 17 – Punarvasu
Nakshatram
A day of grandeur and devotion:
- 11:00 AM:
     The divine Sri Sitarama Kalyanam will be performed, celebrating the
     celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita Devi.
- 5:30 PM:
     The deities will be taken in a majestic procession around the four Mada
     Streets, culminating at Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini.
- 6:30 PM:
     The evening concludes with the graceful Unjal Seva, where the
     deities are gently swayed on a decorated swing, accompanied by devotional
     music.
September 21 – Amavasya
(New Moon Day)
- 9:00 AM:
     Witness the sacred Sahasra Kalasa Abhishekam, involving 1,000
     kalasas in a grand purification ritual.
- 7:00 PM: The day ends with the vibrant Hanumanta Vahana Seva, where Lord Hanuman carries the Lord in a symbolic procession, inspiring strength and devotion.
