Sri Chamundeshwari Devi
Temple is a revered Shakti shrine located in Chitkul Village, near
Jogipet in Medak district, Telangana. Nestled on the eastern banks of
the River Manjira, this temple is a spiritual beacon for devotees seeking
divine blessings and fulfillment of desires.
Presiding Deity
The temple is dedicated
to Chamundeshwari Devi, a fierce and compassionate incarnation of Goddess
Parvathi. The deity is uniquely enshrined in a standing posture,
symbolizing strength and readiness to bless devotees.
Architectural Highlights
- Rajagopuram:
     A majestic 7-tiered tower marks the temple entrance, showcasing
     traditional South Indian temple architecture.
- Grabha Gudi:
     Inside the sanctum, a pillared mandapa adds grandeur and spiritual

- Unconventional Origin:
     Unlike most temples, the idol was installed first, and the temple
     structure was built around it—a rare and sacred practice.

Established in 1983, the temple has grown into a vibrant spiritual center, attracting thousands of devotees annually. It is managed by the Sri Chamundeshwari Seva Samithi, which also organizes grand festivals like Dasara, Karthika Purnima, and Varshikotsavam.

     A grand multi-day celebration with processions, abhishekams, and
     annadanam.

observe Amavasya and Pournami days with special offerings and extended
temple hours.
