Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple – Pavithrotsavams 2025
The annual Pavithrotsavams at Sri Lakshmi
Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located in Devuni Kadapa, Kadapa
District, will be observed from September 5 to 7, 2025.
Significance of Pavithrotsavam
This sacred three-day ritual is performed to:
- Purify
the temple premises
- Rectify
known or unknown ritualistic lapses
- Restore
spiritual sanctity
It is believed that any inadvertent errors committed by devotees or temple staff during the year are spiritually cleansed through these ceremonies.
The festival includes Vedic rituals, homams, and decorative garlanding of deities with Pavithra malas, symbolizing divine forgiveness and renewal.
