Vishwakarma Puja – Honoring the Divine Architect of the Universe

 


Vishwakarma Day, also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti, is a sacred festival dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the celestial architect and engineer of the gods. Revered as the Devashilpi (Architect of the Gods) and the Divine Carpenter, his name appears in the Rig Veda as the embodiment of creative power and craftsmanship.

Celebrated annually on Kanya Sankranti, typically falling on September 16 or 17, Vishwakarma Puja is also observed in some regions on the day after Diwali, especially in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.
