TTD
will observe Gokulashtami Asthanam on September 4, and Utlotsavam on
September 5, at Tirumala in view of Sri Krishna Janmastami celebrations.
The
Gokulashtami Asthanam will be held in the Bangaru Vakili Mukha Mandapam between
8 PM and 10 PM.
During
the event, Sri Krishna Swamy is seated on Sarvabhupala Vahanam and special
offerings will be rendered.
Prior
to the Asthanam, Ekanta Tirumanjanam (special sacred bath) will be performed
for Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy, Sri Devi, Bhudevi, and Sri Krishna Swamy,
followed by Dwadasaradhana.
On
the next day on September 5, the Utlotsavam will be celebrated with celestial
grandeur.
At
4PM, Sri Malayappa Swamy on Bangaru Tiruchi accompanied by Sri Krishna Swamy on
another Tiruchi will be paraded through the Mada streets.
Youth
participates enthusiastically by breaking mud pots (utlu), spreading joy among
pilgrims.
In
view of these celebrations, TTD has cancelled the Arjita Brahmotsavam and
Sahasra Deepalankara Seva scheduled for September 5 at the Tirumala temple.
On the other hand, in view of Sri Krishna Janmastami on September 4, Panchabhishekam will be performed to Sri Kaliya Mardhana Krishna statue between 10 AM and 12noon near Gogarbham Dam, followed by Uttotsavam at the same venue by the Garden Wing of TTD.
