Introduction
The Tirumala Tirupati
Devasthanams (TTD) is introducing two special services—Akshara Govindam
and Annaprasana—at Sri Vakulamata Temple, Tirupati, starting July
3, 2026. These sacred rituals mark the auspicious beginning of a child’s
education and first feeding ceremony, performed with the blessings of Sri
Venkateswara Swamy and Sri Vakulamata.
Akshara Govindam – Sacred
Start to Education
- Designed for children aged 3 to 5
years.
- The Aksharabhyasam ceremony
will be conducted with Vedic chanting.
- Participants receive:
- Blessings and prasadam
- A complimentary Akshara Govindam
Kit containing educational and devotional items
Annaprasana – First
Feeding Ceremony
- Performed traditionally under the
guidance of temple priests.
- Conducted with Vedic rituals,
ensuring a spiritually enriched beginning to a child’s nourishment
journey.
Schedule &
Registration
- Services begin July 3, 2026.
- From July 4 onwards,
ceremonies will be held daily except Tuesdays.
- Two batches per day: 25 children
each (50 total).
- Advance registration
at the temple is mandatory, one hour before the ceremony.
- Parents are advised to attend in traditional
attire.
