Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam 2026 at Tiruchanoor Padmavathi Temple – Rituals & Darshan Details
On January 20, 2026,
the sacred ritual of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed in a
grand manner at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor. This
cleansing ceremony is traditionally observed ahead of major festivals, in this
case the annual Ratha Saptami celebrations scheduled for January 25.
Ritual Highlights
- Suprabhata Seva:
The Goddess Padmavathi will be awakened in the early morning with sacred
hymns.
- Timing:
Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
- Purification Process:
- Temple premises including walls,
roofs, pooja articles, and sanctum areas will be thoroughly cleansed.
- Sacred water
mixed with aromatic and auspicious substances such as:
- Namakopu
- Srichurnam
- Kasturi turmeric
- Pachaku
- Edible camphor
- Sandalwood powder
- Kumkum
- Kichiligadda (herbal root)
- This mixture will be sprinkled
throughout the temple to sanctify and purify the atmosphere.
Devotee Darshan
- After the completion of the ritual,
devotees will be allowed darshan of the Goddess from 9:30 AM onwards.
- The ritual is believed to remove negative energies, ensure divine blessings, and prepare the temple for the upcoming Ratha Saptami festival.
