Karthigai Deepam: A Festival of Divine Light
Karthigai Deepam, also known as Masik Karthigai, is a traditional festival celebrated with great devotion in Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and also honors Lord Subramanya (Kartikeya). This festival is most prominently observed in Tiruvannamalai.

Special Celebrations in Tiruvannamalai
The celebrations at Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai are especially grand, where the Karthigai Mahadeepam is lit atop the sacred Annamalai Hill.
